For 30 years, I worked at the intersection of complexity and consequence — as a technical change agent for commodities trading clients across Canada, the USA and Singapore, leading acquisition and divestment projects in Brazil, Egypt, and the United States, and navigating the organizational dynamics that determine whether transformation actually lands.

On the academic side, I've served in leadership and developed transformational programs grounded in the same principles. My research spans transformation, innovation, empathy, emotional intelligence, design thinking, and adaptive organizations. 

What I continue to keep seeing, across industries and geographies, was the same gap: organizations investing in training and still watching their people hesitate when the pressure was real. Not because the training was wrong. Because it was training — not practice.
